i need to transfer lots of files and directories to another server via ftp. but it seems as if the wildcard operator * does not work under unix basic ftp. any ideas? |

it doesnt work when you are in ftp mode. try using it in your windows by typeing ftp on your command box. |

probably you're not using 'put' or 'get' and 'mput' or 'mget' ? |
