Since a couple of days my wrist is painfull. I did a lots of things which could cause RSI lately.

Wednesday i am going to the doctor. But i am afraid about what he is going to say. I think it is about an over-used wrist an that i need to let it rest for a long time. Or it could be worse than i need to go to the hospital for some surgery... Both things i don't like.
Any one else who has some RSI problems or had some.. let me know.

When my wrists start to act up, I do push-ups on my knuckles. Clears it right up for a few weeks.

I have suspected CTS but found the perfect solution for mousing...

Get a gel-pack mouse mat and an optical track-ball.
Lock your elbow to the desk, and don't move anything but your fingers.

I've not had any 'serious' mouse-related wrist pain for months now

don't even try, Rinswind... we all know what happened to your wrist...

...you need to quit them repetitive wrist exercises for a while..

I use my mother's old wrist wrap, from when her arthritis acts up. Works nice.

I had the same thing happen when I was spending 14-16 hours a day, six days a week at the keyboard.

I switched to mousing left-handed and bought a wavy keyboard. Been 3 years now with no more problems.

I think the mousing left-handed helps more than the wavy KB. With the right hand doing number-pad, navigation keys, the right-side of the alphas AND mousing, it was just plain overused. Side benefit is that I'm a lot faster at things now with both hands doing the work.
