When i scroll i IE or drag a window it lags its not a smooth motion it kinda jumps... This sucks! How can i fix it?

I don't really know what to do about the IE scrolling behaviour, only that I once had a slightly similar problem when I was using the standard Windows graphics card drivers instead of the ones from the manufacturer. So maybe you could try out some new drivers if you don't have them already.

To uninstall the MSN Messenger you can use XP-Antispy (it's available in many languages).

Well I found how to remove shitty msn messenger.
I'm d/l the new drivers now so I hope that will do it!

I'm not sure if this is located in the same place on XP Pro and XP Home but try this:

Start > Setting > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System

Select the Advanced Tab and click the Setting button under Performance.

This area includes many visual effects which you can toggle on and off to help with problems such as yours. You might try selecting Adjust for best performance to see how much that helps you and if you still have problems manually de-select Smooth-Scroll and Show Contents While Dragging.

Talking about XP bugs, here are some that I come across every time:

- the feature "Always hide" for the notification icons are inconsistent: you tell XP to always hide a certain icon but next time you start windows, the icon is there, visible.
- you open a window of Windows Explorer, you customize it, then you close it; when you open it again, all the settings, including its position, are lost and you have to customize it over and over
- you remove an icon from the Start menu (left panel) telling Windows to "Remove from this list". Then, magically, next time you start Windows, the removed icon is there.
- you customize the order that the programs should appear in All Programs/Application menu (from the Start menu) and next time, the order you set is lost
- You configure your mouse to be left-handed; while Windows is starting, if you try to use any feature too early, the mouse is still right-handed. It seems that the mouse is set automatically left-hand as the last step of the initialization
- When you click any folder in Windows Explorer, if the information is not yet cached, it takes much more time to update then it takes in Windows 2000 (maybe this is because I use FAT32 in Win2k and this stupid NTFS for WinXP)
- and some others that I can't remember right now.

Win2k is much better than WinXP but since WinXP is much prettier than Win2k, I use WinXP. That's not a wise decision...

Well... I think that some of your problems maybe has something to do with which user your'e logged in as.
Try creata an admin account and then delete some stuff.

viol: what version of XP are you running? I run Professional and I don't experience any of the problems you listed.

I'm the only user of my home machine, where XP is installed. It automatically logs as the admin. There is no other account created.
Mine is WinXP Pro US release fully updated.
Sometimes I think that my problems may have something to do with my old graphics card, a 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 that uses an unofficial "updated" driver to add OpenGL support to WinXP (so I can play Mohaa). This card must be the one to blame.

BTW, to remove MS messenger, I just ran this command line:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
and that piece of sh*t was gone forever.
