I got two emails from the same email address blisterinthesun2@yahoo.com, one titled Who the fkkk is this? and another one that says Your gay. They just say how they have seen me around at school and reckon im a litte fag and that they will get me. They will get me in the Yr 12 room!!!!!
That was posted around 5ish yesterday arvo....since then I have been in that room and shit-all has happend.
Is there a way to trace that email back to the sender? Reckon I should reply and say to them Come and get me! because I feel in the mood to do so...wankers

It is Hotmail.com and yes it is my sig....but not permanently.
I just saved one of them as .eml and opened it. I found this:

that resembles an IPish address of some sort. And then I found this after sorting through all the html coding and shit:

WIN2K there rings a bell cos if it was someone from school it makes sense cos we only have WIN2K and the library runs WIN98. But I am sure it is someone in the Yr.12 Centre where those computers have WIN2K. I will track down these wankers!!
Are those numbers IP addresses? I'm not all that familiar with IP addresses that much.

nope those aren't IP's they're too long.

The Win 2K bit is actually probably a refrence to the Hotmail server. The hotmail bit makes the IP address pretty much irrelevant since you will only get the IP of the hotmail server, to get the IP of the sender themself you'd have to go through hotmail's security bit.

Personally for something this minor, if they are using a web-based mail service you're kinda screwed and will have a hard time finding the user unless you bring in the authorities.

That number you posted is the complete version # of the IE you're using.

Just fwd the mail off to abuse@yahoo.com, its a violation of their TOS. All web-based e-mail services should have a terms of service to deal with. Keep the mails as evidence, if they continue you can use them to persue charges and nail the person under the 'hate crime' legislation.

If you do choose to go the 'come and get me' route, (my personal favorite) do it from another e-mail address off a freeserver, (from an IP that cannot come back to you...create the acct at school on the network), now if he comes at you you will need to get a stun gun and zap em immediately when you see them, preferably on the nearest body part you can get a hit on then again on the neck when they drop. After that, you will find there are few things more enjoyable than kicking someone who is twitching from a zapping until your foot hurts. Stick with the body/groin area, prosecutors will be much less sympathetic to your plight as a persecuted individual defending yourself if you start crushing facial bones, or ripping ears off.


After you get tired or stopped you now have the e-mails to justify your actions, you can say that you felt the "...emminent threat of serious bodily injury or death" becaue of the e-mail and you have your ass covered because you sent the response from another account. If you go this route remember, there is no such thing as a fair fight unless there is a referee in the middle, a cutman in your corner and a ring around you. If this person has issues with you for whatever reasons and wants to create a situation where its them or you...send flowers.

Year 12 (being the final year of High School for us Aussies) brings special privelidges, like a special large area all the year 12s can go to when they choose to. It has a kitchen, toilets, tv, blah, blah, blah, furniture is ussally provided by the school.

Insider: No...I lthink mahjqa has a point there. Human nature states that if someone is feeling something and is ashamed of it, the first thing they do is make fun of it...hence, homophobes make fun of homosexuality simply to try and convince themselves that they aren't really gay.

Just block them. Simple as that. There's no reason to get upset or angry. Are you in high school? Seems like it. That kiddie stuff only happens in the K-12 system. Nearly 100% of what people tell you in high school is a lie. Nearly 100% of the people you think are your friends are not your friends. When I left high school at 16, I realized I had only ONE true friend. And guess what? He and I are starting (corporation not partnership) a design and development firm in 2004.

RANT: A business partnership can strengthen or break a friendship. If you are fair and your business does well, the responsibilities of each employee (member) has less of a load. When things go awry or you're unfair, the responsibilities of each member increases and relationships break. In my opinion, a true friendship is the highest level of trust and loyalty. Even marriage isn't at a higher level because in a marriage, the couple has responsibilities to each other. It's much like a business. Did you know Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda, are incorporated?

High school is bull and that's why I graduated two years early.

Actually high school is wonderful for the kind of rote memorization and regurgitated lack of thought that is expected by most Universities in low science or arts programs. Usually the people that excel and graduate early in high school programs are exactly the kind of assimilated fit that comp science and art profs are looking for.

Of course they also need that "I'm so unique...just like my friends" attitude that makes them wondrous peons for the truly illuminated.

As for replies...what's the point? Usually the people that feel motivated to make anonymous threats are the same ones that feel belittled by a world that sees them as pathetic and also-ran. Look around the asylum, there's a few of those here as well. Young, stupid, pointlessly arrogant with vaccuous expanses that cry out on their need for attention. It's universal.

Best bet is to ignore it. Laugh about it at some point, and realize that homophobia is like any other...a quaking FEAR. Chuckle about scared children...they're funny after all.
