KARN Bipolar (III) Inmate From: North Bay, Ontario, CA Insane since: Apr 2001	posted 08-15-2002 09:30 I've noticed that i've been losing a lot of hardrive space... mainly the windows folder about 3 gb... the temporary internet folder is 490 mb yesterday and today it's 520 mb... when viewed inside there's nothing that adds up to that amount only 111 bytes... anybody know the problem?

There are a number of programs you can buy that will help flush things out as well...not sure how well any of them work.

Apart from that you should check if you have any partitions where you don't need Win ME's and XP's system recovery, disabling it saves usually lots of disk space (you can do that via control panel > system > system restore, but I wouldn't recommend disabling it for your Windows system drive). That way I saved 1.5 GB of disk space on one of my partitions! Windows can really be freaky at times. kuckus (cell #282)
