Hmm... lessee: 4 rooms, Usual Suspects, Magnolia, Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Hudsucker Proxy, Vertigo, Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting, Swingers, Jackie Brown, Casino, Fight Club, Anything with Peter Sellers, Out of Sight, Apocalypse Now...ummmm. The list gets too long too fast. Pulp Fiction and Magnolia are prolly my fav's though.
Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever seen "Love with the proper stranger" - it's a '60s movie(I think) with Steve McQueen and Natalie Wood. Great flick but I can't find it anywhere. And how was Signs? I like Shymalan(sp?)'s stuff, but I haven't made time to see the new one yet.

cpk: Signs was awesome! I really love how that director does his shots. There were a few parts were I was squriming, as was my friend, and there's the part where you're like "No! Don't do that! Don't do that!! Ahhh!! Leave!!!" hehehe. I won't spoil it but I only saw that part through parted fingers lol. My former roomie and I each saw different parts so we discussed it later to get the "full" scoop hehe. Then again, the people next to us started laughin' at us...they weren't squirming so ::shrugs:: But it was WAY WAY WAY good! Actually, I was told it was quite scary which is why I wasn't planning on seeing it in the first place. I was pleasantly surprised. Scary but not something to give you nightmares that night. I slept like a baby last night ^_^
Hmm...as for my favorites. That's always such a hard question! I'll start with a few though (so different from all of yours! hehe)

 Mulan
 Miss Congeniality
 XMen
 Matrix
 ALL The ST TNG movies
 Lion King
 Gladiator
 The Patriot
The King And I (both versions)
 Sleeping Beauty
 Top Gun

Those are all I can think of off the top of my head. They are some of the very very few movies I can actually WATCH more than once. Most I don't want to see until I've completely forgotten. But I've watched Top Gun like...5 times in a row once. lol. I just love that movie!! ^_^

      Several movies I like...
Most everything from Kevin Smith, Stanley Kubrick (sp?), and Warren Miller.
Most anything with Kevin Costner, Mel Gibson, Sean Connery, Arnold Schwarzanegar (sp?!? lol), Dustin Hoffman, Sandra Bullock <-- hot
, and... that's about all I can think of right now...
As for the movie that gets watched over and over and over the most here... Probably Dances With Wolves. Or Apocalypse Now Redux lately.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning."

Yeah, I was wondering when Star Wars was going to get mentioned...
Let's see, the Monty Python flicks, Bond movies, Ben Hur... those are just off the top of my head.

Out of the recent movies I've seen, LOTR would have to be one. There's a Korean movie called "Dalmaya Nolja" (don't ask me to translate that). It's about a bunch of gangsters who hide out in a Buddhist temple. That's one of the best Korean movies I've seen lately. There's also JSA (Joint Security Area, about North and South Korean soldiers at Panmunjeom), which is probably the best "modern" Korean film, and I also really liked "Chunhyangjeon," which is a film based on a traditional Korean love story.

Under that...comes a flood. I like most of the old Hollywood films...like Moby Dick, Cleopatra, Ben Hur, The African Queen, etc.

 Any and every B-movie...yup, I'm a B-movie freak...esp. the Evil Dead series...

 Sci-fi, until you die.

Westerns....yup. Clint Eastwood - the Outlaw Josey Wales...yup. Gotta love the Duke - John Wayne. And the all-time classic with Charles Bronson...anything with Charles Bronson...

Anything with Sean Connery...the one and only Bond.

 The list goes on...

Luxo_Jr- you should have just said any movie that has been backed by a major studio and has been been force feed to the public by saturation bombing of trailers and TV spots. Zemeckis and Spielberg come on now dont be afraid to broaden your horizons and try on a few flicks that you dont think will fit. all Tom Hanks films ????? JOE VS THE VOLCANO?????? COME ON NOW put the crack pipe down and tune into showcase once in a while.

My altime FAVORITE movie is "The Crow" which was brandon lee's last film, then obviously my second would be the sequal, "The Crow: City Of Angels" with Vincent Perez and Iggy Pop. I haven't seen the third crow "Salvation" yet, but I hope to sometime... I really have no great intentions of watching it.
btw, the crow has one of the best sound tracks ever, I highly recomend it... city of angels had an ok sound track too...

edit: btw for a long time my fav movie was terminator 2 just cause of its screen play, really good acting too... it has also a good soundtrack,

and almost any ridly scott movie, like ALL the aliens, those were great... the hellraisers were goodens, blade runner was ok...

interview with the vampire and queen of the damned were great! once again perez is in queen, playing marius... vanilla sky was great, braveheart was great,

predators were great, now a story to tell! my mom met the guy that played the native american billy in P1, and got his sig for me... i keep it safe, my mom met him at a political meeting in louisville he plans on running for governer... and what a coincidence, so did jessy ventura, and they were in the same damn movie, well aint that some shit? and P2 was good, adam jones the guitarist of TOOL designed the interior to the predator space ship, very talented man....

Star Wars movies, every one of themAny badly dubbed 70's kung-fu flicks
John Woo's Hong Kong flicks (his Hollywood movies are good, but Hong Kong ones are so much better) This guy is, without a doubt, the best action director of all time.
 anything directed by Akira Kurasawa
 Casablanca
 Dead Man

Without trying to sound too, uh, trendy(?), just add DL's list to Mikey Milker's list, subtract What's Eating Gilbert Grape (just bloody awful) and add Godfather trilogy. That's my movie collection. It's almost creepy.

I also have this affinity for Charlie Chaplin movies...call me strange if you like, I'll understand.

Stuff I'll always watch if it's on:
Run Lola Run (CPrompt beat me to it! Neat concept, great execution.)
Strange Brew (It's Hamlet! No, really!)
The Commitments (A great cast, and one of the best soundtracks out there.)
El Dorado (John Wayne, Robert Mitchum and a young James Caan.)
Joe vs. The Volcano (Yes, really. Just watched it again last night, in fact. Might be a little... subtle for some, since it doesn't have a lot of shootouts/car chases/foul language...)
Henry V (Kenneth Branagh; great film!)
Supercop (Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh!)
Aliens (Prefer this one to the others; at least they can defend themselves...)
Star Wars (Eps 4-6, though I did enjoy the big battle at the end of Ep 2)
My Blue Heaven (Steve Martin as a hood. Good stuff...)
L.A. Story (Another Steve Martin movie...)
The Matrix (Reset the bar for sci-fi action movies with its effects)
Rope (Alfred Hitchcock and Jimmy Stewart. Only ten 'scenes' in this film if you watch!)
Monty Python (Pretty much anything from them is okay with me!)
 Hudsucker Proxy (Yep, it's a good'en.)
The Shawshank Redemption (This one, too...)
Spite Marriage (An old Buster Keaton silent movie. Amazing stunt work and a great comedy!)

 Odd behavior; even temperament...
