You every had a tall day? I'm having one, and it feels great. You don't know what a tall day is? Well, allow me to explain.

You remember when you were a little kid and all the items on the top shelf of the refridgerator were just out of your reach? Then one day those things that used to be far away were right there in front of you. That's a tall day.

It doesn't sneak up on you or happen gradually as you would expect anything connected to your growth to behave. One day, it's just there. Every couple of years or so you get a tall day, and you get to go, "Hey, I'm having a tall day."

Well, my friends, I'm having a tall day today. I feel things that were previously unattainable to me are just suddenly right there in front of me. It's a nifty feeling.

However, I depart just a bit from the traditional concept of a tall day. In this case, it's a little different.

I'm talking about code.

I program in most any major language I have ever come across, with the exception of the Basic series. Theoreticly, anyway. I write best in C, Perl, and Javascript. I also speak some Assembly, Pascal, Python, Basic, C++, Fortran, Cobol, and Java. I could read the code, debug some things and maybe program a few things.

But, today- a little better.

I'm looking at code in a whole way today. I see a deeper understanding of what the code is, what it does and how it does it. I'm suddenly unafraid to write programs from scratch, using functions I've never worked with (ok, I'll admit I'm still making backups before I write to files, just in case), reading about them in man pages I've never seen. I keeps gets easier and easier... or maybe it's just today.

I don't know... it's just a cool feeling... thought I'd share...

Anyways, back on topic... Is it possible to have a tall day, but turned sideways? Or something like that...

Emps: I wasn't really refering to a fat day, but a tall day turned sideways. Kinda like what Petskull described at first but with a bit of a twist. Hard to describe... Maybe something like the thought that runs through your head after you watch Planet of the Apes (the new one) and see the ending...

Suho: Hmm, a fat day... Probably like when just feel real sluggish all day. Where not sleeping for a week starts to come back and haunt you. A hangover might also qualify.
