I just got around to upgrading to XP (and lost everything since my last backup in the progress... 2 weeks... grrr) but what's the deal with XP and Java?

I poped over to a moo (aka MUD) site I'm programming stuff for and it told me I needed the Java virtual Macheine. How odd, I though IE6 installed that... Anyways, I clicked 'Download" on the popup and it took me to a page on the Microsoft website saying that it doesn't provide the Java Virtual Machine for XP. WTF is up with this shit?

Did MS decided to ditch Java in XP or something

I believe MS decided to disable Java in XP to push their .NET up. I could be mistaken though.

We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.
