Hi all!
I want to try different ways to plan the furnishing of our house (without lugging everything around that is ).

So I'm searching for some kind of simple 3D proggie where I could easily reproduce our house, room by room and then furnish it with different kind of furniture, preferrable items that I could set my own measurments to to simulate the stuff we already have.

I don't want to get into things like 3dsmax, maya or any "pure" 3d-rendering program, I think I'm looking more for a simple cad-program with a lot of premade models of furniture.

Of course I'd like it to be freeware or shareware...
Has anyone tried something like this that can be recommended?
/Dan

I got one for my mom, but I forgot what it was called... I'd say go with 3dsmax....

Hell, if you have a camara we could even have a "who can make a couch that looks most like DmS's couch" contest down at '3D Modelling & Rendering'...

LOL! That's a good one
Thing is, I have no experience in 3d-progs, and all I really want to do is to be able to move our furniture around in our house on the screen. Also, I don't have the time to learn a real 3d-prog as it is now.

Yup, olympus digital 1.3 m-pixels plus a Canon system-camera with three different lenses and a scanner.

I've seen such software at the lumber yard. Home Depot and such, usually by the magazines. I didn't check the prices, but I imagine not terribly expensive. And I'm sure fairly easy to learn with lots of furniture pre-sets.
