Hrmmpft! I do not love M$... At all...
I just installed Visual Studio 6 and everytime I get a javascript-error somewhere as I surf, I'm asked if I want to debug.

Should I say yes (which is default) M$ Interdev(il) opens some friggin debug-project, as I close this, ALL MY IE-WINDOWS CLOSES!!!!!!!!
Not just the one with an error !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I usually surf with 5-8 windows open I "kind of" lose track of where I was, not to mention all the "new post" markings everywhere!

Is there any way to remove/stop this functionality (it being some kind of default debugger) in Interdev(il) ????????
I guess I could uninstall it, but I want/need the whole package installed.
phlueeeaase... help me...

I believe there is an option in Interdev that turns this off.

However, while turning this off does remove the annoying 'do you want to debug' dialog, it doesn't give me *any* notification of javascript errors. If I go into IE's tools->options->advanced and check and uncheck "disable javascript debugging", then hit OK, then errors start working again (as normal).

Or just click "No" when asked if you want to debug. That's what I did for awhile.

It's a nuisance for us keyboard users though =)

No should *always* be the default when clicking 'yes' loses your work. This is a design flaw.

But as I said above, check tools-> options in interdev.

Slime: I agree! I've totally accadentally clicked "yes" when something popped up and I meant "no" but I wasn't looking at the screen, just typing away and looking at something else or talking to someone and looking at them or whatever and I look back at my screen and.....arg!! That's "__time period since saving here__" wasted!!!

I hate that!

DMS: That never happens on my comp, but it's happened frequently on my mom's. I haven't any idea why.

Aahhhh... <exhales long relieved breath...>

GRUMBLE, Slime:
Thank you very, very much!

I've had this prob before on another machine but I promptly forgot about it as I installed it here, sure I'm usually a "no-clicker", but all too often the hand is faster than the brain...
