Well 9-11 has passed and nothing happened. Good. Well I'm not too entirely sure if some has posted this but here we go:

This is really sad. A year ago yesterday, planes hit the WTC and pentagon. After that people started flying flags and being nice to one another.

Why is it that it takes the collapse of NYC's tallest towers and 1000+ people dead to make us more patriotic. There are more people outside the US who know more about our country than we do. Americans need something to make them realize that the way things are is pissing many other countries off.

And on the original topic, I haven't seen any evidence of people being nicer to one another, myself. Flags went up on the cars, but the drivers still flip each other off on the highway.

Yep. Wes gets a cookie for that answer. I think most people kinda wanted to be closer to each other and be more open, but that's not the natural thing for most people, and a couple planes crashing into the towers isn't going to change that. You are who you are, and unless something inside you changes, you'll stay that way.

The whole thing about people being nicer (more nice? something like that) to each other is just what the media fed us. Sure, that event did kinda wake a lot of people up (and maybe bring them back into the real world for a little while) and they might have been a bit nicer to other people for a week maybe, but after that, everyone was right back to their normal, self-righteous attitude. Granted, there are the few exceptions, but there are a few exceptions to just about everything.
