![]() Outlook or Outlook Express? Whichever the case it sounds like you may have inadvertently checked a "my server requires authentication" checkbox or somesuch in your accounts settings. Check in tools/options/accounts/the troublesome account/servers tab for stuff regarding authentication (that path may vary slightly depending on prog and version), most don't require any. That's the only bell going off in this tired head. |

![]() The first thing that comes to mind is authentication for SENDING email. In Outlook go to Tools>Email Accounts>View or Change Existing Email Accounts>Change>More Settings>Outgoing Server and see if checking that top box helps. |
