lallous: Thanks. I spotted that a while ago - I did point it out to TP but:

1. He is pretty busy at the moment.

2. Helpful people kept coming along and fixing the code before TP could see my example

Drop the bug into the 'Bug Report' section and it'll get fixed:
http://faq.ozoneasylum.com/71/

for now you'll have to use the UBB to get the link to work (and in that case you might want to add the link to the node:
http://faq.ozoneasylum.com/688/

as there isn't much need for a subnode there).

Thanks.

[edit: Ar this 'Talk Like apirate Day' be harder than she first seems - shiver me timbers]

Emp, if you find it necessary you drop a bug report.

btw, how can i escape UBB codes in here?

let's say i want to display <code> in brackets, wouldn't that get parsed?

I think you'd need a space after the link.... the regexps are set up to catch everything all the way to the next space (so you can add even wierd link with GET lines and stuff)...

Code - CGI - links - DHTML - Javascript - Perl - programming - Magic - http://www.twistedport.com

not, that a dangling [/i] would be correct input... anyhow,
I've read you description, I understand the problem, I see the solution in front of me... and can't do anything about it till monday or so.
(depending on when I get net access at my new place. currently I'm at work -> neither sourcecode nor ftp access (do I look like I know the username/password by heart?).

So, I'll get it fixed asap. Till then, just don't be such a lazy bum ;-) put [url] tags around it!

so long,

Tyberius Prime
