Preserved Topic: distibuted.net ozone team still going? (Page 1 of 1)

hey, I was thinking about joining one of these teams in december, then I remembered that ozone had (or may still have) one. I looked up your stats on there and it says that only 2 out of 12 members have contributed today, and I was just wondering if the team is still going, or what the deal is with it.

Uh, why are there only two people still active, did everybody else just decide they didn't want to do it anymore or what happened? And why hasn't anyone tried to open it back up again.

well, just in case you missed it:
several people(including me) are trying from time to time.
and yesterday were 4 people active.

OK, cool. I figured out now that it'll be March before I join a team due to some complications. Um, ya but when I do I'll join the asylum team, hopefully some others will join too. I'll probably be able to contribute a lot during the schoolyear cause I leave my comp on while I'm at school for like 7 or 8 hrs a day, and I'll have a P4 2.4 Ghz processor.

OK, again...

Went to the page above, clicked I want to join the team, and next thing I get says:

Funny thing is, it didn't ask for an e-mail address. Didn't ask anything, just went straight to that page...

Any ideas?

you have to sign up first.
then you can log in using your email as username in the popup.

Did sign up. But like I said, it never gave me a pop-up to put my e-mail and what-not in...

[edit: I just got the pop-up box, but it says my e-mail doesn't exist... And it won't give me the pop-up box again...]

so, when you click on the I want to join this team link, nothing pops up?

Do you have to complete and submit your first set of blocks before it will give you a personal stats page?

I found what I need (I think) on your stats page, the "e-mail me my password" button at the bottom. However, I don't need your password as much as I need mine. And I remember reading somewhere on the site (probably the FAQ) it said go to your stats page and click the "send my password" link/button to get it the first time. The one slight thing is I can't get to my stats page... I hope this makes some sort of sense...

damn, its been a year when i signed up.

but now i remember!
it took me some time (4 days i think) to get onto the stats page and retrieve my password from the site, then i could join the team.

so have some patience and sorry for the confusion.

After looking around this morning that seemed to be the case. Thanks for the help Grumble.
