got a couple of things that are driving me absolutely nuts that I was hoping to find the cure for among this great tribe of geeks...

ctrl+shift+I doesn't invert my friggin selection in Photoshop anymore, I have to ~gasp~ use the menu. WHAT? grrr

My quicklaunch bar, it loses an icon now and then, I have to launch from the start menu! you beliedat? If I right click drag the shortcut icon from the start menu to the quicklaunch to make the copy on the quicklaunch it say "hey you wanna replace the one that's already here?" I say "of course" cuz the one there's invisible, this fixes it, until it happens again.

These are a couple of things that will flat out make a type A personality miffed, I fear for my computer's safety. Any pointers? Not anger management pointers mind you, fix these problem pointers! Thanks.

Do you use ICQ? I know one of ICQ's keyboard shortcuts is CTRL + SHIFT + I, maybe that's interfering with it.

Yep..... turn off Q shortcuts..

I have the same problem, it stopped working. 'Ctrl + Shift + I' makes ICQ popup, but even when I don't use the ICQ client, it still wont work.

Just did a couple tests, and it appears the trillian client screws around with shortcut keys too. Once I turned all that garbage off, it worked fine

odd mine inverts if I use "control-alt-I"

We're talking about inversing the selection. And for inverting, you only need to use Ctrl + I

oh yeah, forgot about Q shortcuts when I switched to Trillian, I'm almost sure it's Trillian but I can't find where to turn them off yet. Under preferences it says hotkeys are under 'events' but I dun see um there. Daggum freeware open source !@#$

ctrl+I and ctrl+alt+I invert the *color* of the slection, not the selction itself

now about this quicklaunch madness...

oh boy this is risky business for me to give advice with this

right click on the bottom toolbar you will get a menu select the toolbar and it has the quicklaunch thingy listed.

Was just reading your original post again... you propably have it partly hidden.. if you mouse over the vertical bar before the first icon you can extend or hide the bar .

I could be wrong, but maybe the "lock taskbar" option has something to do with your icons disappearing?

LOL I had that ICQ ctrl-shft-I issue about three years ago!

taskbar thing is just a mystery then? Probably Trillian too :-p
