I was wondering if anyone here lives(d) in Spain. I am not yet sure about what I want to do after highschool and one of the thoughts is take a year abroad. The place that strikes me as the most interesting is Spain.

Does anyone here know anything about the abroad experience, or Spain in general?

I was born in Caracas-Venezuela, Then I moved to Maracay-Venezuela, then to Los Teques-Venezuela, then to Tucacas-Venezuela, then to Margarita-Venezuela then to Maracaibo-Venezuela, then to Los Teques again and two years ago I went to Miami, and one year ago I came here to Soria-Spain.

Well I was just thinking of doing the whole: backpacking through Spain, staying at hostles and enjoying the culture.

What I really want to know is how much would it cost to rent a small 1bed apartment perhaps and would two americans with limited (not bad, but limited) spanish skills be able to survive in Spain for a year?

I had a freind that did the "abroad" thing for a year and 1/2. She took off to Europe I beleive.
