I was wondering if it is possible to create a batch file that will open my command prompt to a certain directory?

What I need to do is for the command prompt to open to my Java path via a batch file. I am not sure as to how to do that.

Anyone care to help? Please! I have a tasty black pill up for grabs

Thanks in advance.

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

There's also another way of doing that without a batch file:

1. Create a shortcut to cmd.exe (on your desktop or somewhere else)

2. Right-click it > Properties > Execute in: "C:\Programs\whatever\"

I don't know if that's of any help for you now (probably not as InI's solution seems to be working), but I thought I'd drop it in anyway in case you need to do the same thing again in the future

Thanks kuckus. I actually just had to write two lines of code and that was it.

Start the command prompt and then switch directories. Thanks for the help though.
