Try www.mirc.com for an IRC client.

PS Allow me to suggest a substitue for Trillian and well all other instant messangers... It's called Jabber and it is an open instant messaging protocol. If you would like to check it out visit www.jabber.org and read all about it. I have been using it for some time now (since Dreamhost added it to their hosting packages) and I love it. Its fast, it stores my contacts server side and because its open I have a wide selection of clients to choose from. As long as the Jabber server you use ( and theres lots of em ) has the proper gateways installed you will be able to send and recieve messages from folks using any of the major IM'ers. If you decide to give it a shot then check out Psi, its my favorite client so far, it has sort of an ICQ vibe going which is the service I used to use so my transition was totally painless. Also Psi is available for Linux and Windows OS's so if you use one OS at home and one at work or multiboot to program in one OS or the other you can use Psi in both. And on top of all that you'll be supporting open source.

yep... they make "help file" for a reason.

There's nothing wrong with askin' questions, man......... but it'd be in your best intrest to at least attempt to find a solution before running to the forum for help.
A lot of us are willing to help..... but in cases like this...... it'd probably be easier for you to read the help file, or faq anyway.

so..... you can hear me out... or keep on goin in your present direction.
consider this a fair warning for people's actions in the future, if you continue on without putting in an effort.

all that aside.... I'm glad you've gotten what you're looking for.

I just did a little bit of reading on Jabber, it sounds really cool. I'm gonna read some more and then figure out if it would be good for me. Anyways good stuff.

I think sk8terguy (a nick I hate by the way, no offense) didn't know much about Trillian and was asking for a bit more of a warez solution... or just a place where they might keep an old version locally available for download... it's all good...

Sometimes I ask questions in the Asylum just to shoot the breeze, too. It's not a Usenet group- where each question is a hassle to read so it better be worth it- I dunno... I hang in the Asylum... and like reading and posting here sometimes more than the answer I'm recieving...

P.S=-> we frown on warez here- keep that in mind...
