Preserved Topic: Interesting Resource for Drawing/Painting (Page 1 of 1)

A friend of mine who's into Japanese Animé was telling me about this site and I went over to check it out. The place, called Oekaki Central is a collaberative forum for drawing Japanese Animé characters, scenes, etc..

Now drawing animé is not my forté and not something I'd generally choose to do. But I've always harbored a desire to improve my drawing skills. This site seems to offer a ton of examples, advice, comments, etc.. that can help towards that end. As well, there is a forum there where they hold their own version of Pong. Very interesting to see and well worth 500-800kb download for the animations. You can actually see the brush strokes taking place, watching as the picture develops towards the finished product. I'm really impressed by not only the quality and the structure that went into creating the picture but also how it was produced for people to see.
