I use smartftp.com - free for private use, and I like the interface. 5 Mb Download, though.

Yep, you're going to need an FTP client of some sort.
There's a couple of okay free ones out there... all you really need to do is hunt around in here.
You'll find a ton that are shareware and might cost ya a few bucks to register as well.... but chances are you might not want to go that road for the first time.

I use CuteFTP... been usin' it for years, that's my fav.

Yeah, I use CuteFTP myself. I used to use WS_FTP, but it gave me some problems (like hanging in the middle of a medium-to-large queue and not kicking itself started again), so I switched to CuteFTP and found that not only does it work better, but it has a lot more features.

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

Or, you could use 'ftp.exe' - a command line client that comes with any windows. fire it up and type 'help' to get you started.

This is a bit OT but I thought I'd ask it in this thread cause it's related.

Do any of you know of a utility that allows you to FTP from remote host to remote host...directly?

Boudga: I think smartftp will do that - you can connect to two different hosts at the same time. I did try a little drag and drop between then but something wasn't happy although I'm not sure if that was a problem at my end.

[edit: There is a small but growing FTP section in the FAQ:

:FAQ:

although there isn't much there at the moment ]
