Preserved Topic: SST: The Next Game (Page 1 of 1)

The 'open to everyone' version of the game restarts every 28 days and the current one is slowly ticking down to the end (with the Ozone Federation riding high).

So anyone considering singing up should prepare themselves for the start tomorrow.

Some concern has been (rightly) expressed with regard to the Asylum's rather beloved staus with Google (anyone checking would find us at the drop of a hat) so it has been proposed that we find a little hideyhole somewhere where we can plot and scheme to our heart's content (Lacuna has offered us space at her domain and we shouldn't actually use a lot of resources we just need somewhere to dump stuff away fom prying eyes - quite a bit of plotting goes on via ICQ).

To this end I propose that we remove the SST threads here that relate to the previous game (but save them and store them in our hideyhole) and remove some of the more specific SST stuff (we'll leave the tips and tricks page).

I presume no one will object to this?

I should add that this isn't a move to make it exclsuive (come one come all) just that the longer things went on the more likely it would be that someone was going to find where we were discussing things in the open.

We'll drop an update of progress and we really need recruits to come over and play

Its worht pointing out that you don't need to make your mind up now - in fact it sounds like a good idea to not start trading immediately as you only start off with 1 days fuel and the supplies take a few days to build up.

Well, I'm in for one ship this time... Things have been increasingly busy around here, with the end of the semester quickly approaching and all, so I won't be able to dominate the top 20 this time I'm afraid,

I'll get my ship going here in the next couple days and join up.

Also, any idea what is going on with our ships that have supposedly passed into the next game? Has anyone tried to log into their accounts that were in the top 15%? Are we regrouping in any place in particular? Etc, etc, etc...

When you log in it gives you a message saying that you have been promoted to the next game. I have a bunker and an SB set up already for my character that passed through.

I also started with 4.2 Million Grams of Anti-Matter so it wasn't hard.

All right, I have a bunker and enough fighters to make our team in the 200 game (the one we got bumped up into if we were in the top 15%)...
Are we going to stick with The Ozone Federation, or a variation on that, or something completely new?

BTW, a note about trading, it's best to trade in a galaxy with 1-way links... I've barely been able to average over $1100 / kilo AM, and I'm in a spiral with 2-way links...

LF: Yep recreate the Ozone Federation. Some of our tema didn't make the cut but some of my ships I wasn't planning on sending through went through. I'm looking at changing the passwords so people who didn't make it can have a ship in the other game (although I'm not sure it is possible).

Yea, same thing here... All 4 of the ones I posted here to be killed made it through... A couple of them were killed even, and they still were in the top 15% (I talked to one of the guys who killed one this morning )

And I haven't found a way to change the passwords either (I thought about that too, before the last game was over...)

And team OZN should be available here in just a few minutes (actually right now )
Also the teams in this game hold 50 ships

I've got a ship in this game... Raptor1. My indy I used to snoop around and kill random people I came across I'll join up, but not anytime soon. I've got a -lot- of school work to take care of.

Edit: If you use the 3D client, there's an option in there somewhere to change your password. Not so sure how this works via telnet/browser though. And to be 100% honest, I don't remember *where* in the client it's at either
