It's as abstract as hell but it was kinda fun.

It would have been better if I remembered to check the mic battery before I filmed everything. Still, I don't think it's too bad seing all of the audio was recorded seperatly.

That's pretty cool. Interesting. Hum...I don't care, just shut up....I like it..flashy, quick...I like the way it fades out back to the start. I couldn't really understand all the words before the...I don't care, just shut up part, but I think it had something to do with control, and keep you in your house, or something. My wife is asleep, so I couldn't turn it up to loud.

Goodnight.

Emps, do you have the quicktime plugin?

Their both direct links to .mov files, plain and simple really.

Gilbert, I'm glad you liked it... Yeah, some of the speach is muddied but plain crips clear sheach just didn't fit so I filtered some reverb into it.

Anyways, hopefuly my next project won't need to be quite as abstract to cover up for the fact that the microphone on the camera wasn't working! -- Always blame the cheapest piece of equipment

I like it. Nice and abstract. Im still trying to work out what it all means. I think it's about a guy who has an imaginary friend at the table during his breakfast. It's either the first time he has seen him or something has happened or about to happen and so there is a feeling of unease in the air (This being presented as odd sound effects, camera angles, negative effect, etc). I love the sound effects too and how the movie finsihed where it picked up.

But I have to ask..........

What is the name of that song at the end of the movie??? I love it and been wondering what it is called for yonks!

Song at the end?... Arr , the same sone is actually playing all the way thoough, I cut it up a bit because it's a 3 minuite track and a 1 minuite movie but um..

I forgot the name of it, hah! It's a VNV Nation track, from the "FuturePerfect" album. I don't have the album with me right now so that's about as specific as I can be. Sorry.

As for what the movie means, heh, if it means anytihing to you at all then that's about it. Like I said, it was initally based around a conversation but because the mic broke and I was on a deadline I just had to make what I could from a bunch of audio-less footage. If you must know, I planned the movie to be about someone with a multiple personality disorder having a conversation with himself and well, I tried to keep that aspect of it but overall I think it's a litle weak due to it's abstract nature. Eh, now I'm just ranting...

Googling snatches of lyrics always works for me when I'm looking for a song title. I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult if you know the group name and the album it's on. Even a few words strung together would probably work in that case.

As for the movie (now that it's been like a week or so since this was first posted), it was... interesting. I think it was a tad too abstract for whatever state of mind I was in when I watched it. I don't remember being too upset with the sound, though. It seemed fine to me.

Oops, sorry, I forgot.

Artist: VNV Nation
Album: Futureperfect
Track Title: 4am

I also used a little bit of the intro from 'Holding On', another track from the same album.

Oh and Suho, that particular track has no lyrics.

That's not really the best example of their work though. The future Perfect is a fairly good example of their various typs of music though as it had a bit of everything. If your looking for better examples of their stuff I think 'Epicentre', 'Genesis', 'Honor' and 'Standing Still' are much better examples.

I like the use of jump cuts to denote time and motion. I also couldn't really make out any dialogue, but I basically got the context you were developing. I'll have to watch the "big" version when I'm on a faster connection. It seemed like it was missing something at the end visually to tie it all together. Like there was intended one more take but it wasn't there. If that makse sense. The long take towards the end where he holds up his hand and you see the empty seat across from him seemed a little overdone. I think it's already obvious that he's not sitting there, a quick take might accomplish that in a more subtle way.

Nice work.

I wasn't abble to get very good sound out of it but I got the impression of the multiple personality conversation though.

If nothing else you managed to convey that to me. I don't know about the rest... I'll get the bigger one at home where I might be able to see/hear things better.

Hope your hardware works for ya next time. Looking forward to it.
