A message for those at somethingleet.com: If you don't like our colour scheme, that's too bad, make your browser override the colours if it offends your poor little eyes that only seem to be able to handle shades of blue and gray. And Doc is a god by the way, he is definatley not a l337est. Try getting to know him before you label him.

I must admit I (nearly) regret posting this - they said some complementary things about the Doc (which is why I posted it) and people seem to have their panties in a twist over the colour scheme (a personal choice and the colour scheme here does grow on you) and fairly minor banter

Personally, I think this forum vs. forum nonsense needs to stop. There's a reason why they're there, and we're here. Differences of opinions are just that - difference of opinions...

Besides, if we really want to challenge them, GN can start up the second IBC and we'll see if SL can participate this time...

On a typical PC monitor, these colors are actually very difficult to read. At high school, if I wanted to read the forum from the computer labs, I had to make sure there was no glare on the screen or anything, or it was hopeless.

The reason for that is the gamma of PC monitors; they turn the dark red background into black (which is why a lot of new users here don't notice that their sigs don't match the background), and the bright orange into a medium red.

On an LCD screen, it's fine. =)

By the way, I believe one of them mentioned that their forum is skinnable, so we shouldn't knock their color scheme, since it's merely the default one.

Drac: SL went down a while ago, they popped the old member database and started fresh.

I don't have much more to add, but I'm with Slime, synax, and Emps on this one. Bickering is pointless, in my opinion.

I've never had a problem, even with my last monitor which was - compared to most monitors on most PC's I've used - pretty dark.

You can still distinguish very clearly the difference between blue/darkorange/black.

Just tickled me that the two forums were (depending whose post you read):

a: on the verge of war
b: on the verge of mutual understanding/respect, despite the apparent diferences
c: happy to ignore each other
d: unified in the knowledge that Yannah got us into this 'conflict'

It's an almost perfect sociological example of how wars begin in the public eye.

Ok, I went to the somethingleet.com page mentioned above. To be honest I had a bit of difficulty following the thread. But, I figured out two things.

1) they were talking trash about the Asylum.
2) they were talking trash about Yannah.

As far as #1 is concerned, I'm sure that they are just jealous, and are are secretly in awe of the collective talent and intellectual stature of the Asylum.

Concerning #2, obviously they could use just a little more class over there. Then again, I've noticed that Yannah catches her fair share of flak here too.

I find it amazing that no matter what others post about her, in all of Yannah's posts(even the ones I can't make heads or tails of), she never seems to make any derogitory remarks about others. That is something I really respect.
