Woohoo! I know it's expensive, but I very much in favor of expanding our footprint in space. This recent success is a very good thing for the space program. These pictures we're getting are so clear and should really help us to understand the history of Mars so much better. |

This is good news for NASA that's for sure. NASA has been on the burner for a while. |

Indeed the pictures are quite detailed, and that's a great thing to boost the space program. quote: He would certainly think something like : That's illogical captain. |

Bleh, I'm all for space exploration but now is not the time. The whole Iraqi war trashed our economy and budget surpless, I don't know where all this money is coming from. Even if money is no object (and to Bush it appears not to be) I think there are more pressing issues that could use the dough. Putting the money into education would probably have more scientific returns in the long run than space exploration. Or what about cancer research? I try to be an optimist though, so looking on the bright side, at least we're not speneding that money on another war. |

Look at the official site of the Mars Express mission. The pages work for me ( even with IE6 ), and there's a 4096x4096 top view of the Valles Marineris and a big version of the composition showed on the BBC. |
