For a short time this host is offering a free 3 years of hosting free. The offer ends soon I think. I have singed myself up for it already.

so... my ISP of serveral years is finally expanding 'world wide'.

Very interesting, but quite their style, this promotion, I fear.

I've been satisfied with them so far. Their support is not first class, but quite solid,
most of the time and their connection is pretty fast (I have a real server rented at their location...
having an 100mbit internet connection rules ;-)).

Their control panel here in germany is pretty powerful... I suspect them to reuse that.
Kinda annoying that all email changes take up to three hours to take effect, though.

so long,
TP

ps: tj333 there's a rather embarrasing spelling mistake in your sig...

Tyberius Prime: Good to hear that they are a solid company but I can live with them not being first class.

ps: Thanks for spotting the sig error. I'm not the best at spelling but even I should have caught that one. Although when you said embarrassing I was afraid that I had misspell sucked for a moment there.

I'd say get it while you can - they're my DSL and hosting provider and I have only had good experiences with them.

tj333 I'm a big fan of the saying in your sig. I use it a lot. It makes quite a bit more sense (and actually makes a point) if you change "beavers" to "weasels." Just thought I'd share while we're critiquing .

I forget where I first found that but thought it would be funney to change it to beaver when ever I said it.

I used that for a while then added it to my sig.

But now you have me wondering. What point does it make with "weasel"?

And while on the subject of my sig I just found it was qouted here.

Interesting that, kind of like ego surfing.

tj: the point is rather simple.

When one says "Eagles may fly (or soar) high, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines", it refers to character types. Soaring high with the strength of an eagle might be great for you, but as a weaselish character (ie lowlife, to 'weasel' your way out of something) i'll just lurk around down here, and have a little chuckle when you end up as airkill.

BTW, tj, thanks for the tip.
I'm going to test the host and if it can fulfill my needs - that are not too many - I'll definitely switch hosts for my viol.net domain. For now, I'm testing it using my viol.com domain. http://www.viol.com
