well, that may be my misinterpretation, but i believe it could have been more accurately communicated as either:

• ...correcting people when they misuse plurals
  
  
  
  or
• ...when they use possessives as plurals

So, yes, wesley dear, i did get your point - but feel it was fairly poorly conveyed, especially for a Grammar Nazi.
