I guess our musical taste is quite different.
Anyway, try Lilo & Stitch Soundtrack.
No kidding. There are a couple of Hawaian musics, some Elvis and some score.
The Hawaian musics are pearls. Elvis is great.
It's a very nice CD, just like the movie

My favorite artist these days is Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals. This man just plain rocks! Anything he's written is worth listening to.
But I also like an eclectic mix:
The Beastie Boys (any of the 5 they've got out)
Outkast (recently learned to enjoy this - though I must say, Andre is strange...)
Pink Floyd (I'll listen to anything they've done... it's just cool music!)
 The Allman Brothers
Gov't Mule (Allman Bros. reconstituted, but awesome, Rest In Peace Allen Woody)
Tori Amos (this woman's voice is amzing!)
 Portishead
Eminem (just "The Eminem Show" - the rest is questionable, to say the least!)
 Bob Marley
...hell, if it's got a good beat and a smooth melody line, I'll probably listen to it, but those are a few of my favorites...

Alevice: i would love to turn someone on to this great group. Have to remember though that the stuff they do is not the typical "classical" style music for the most part. At least not in the Beethoven or Mozart that most people are used to. The music they concentrate on is somewhat experimental. So it might be a little strange to listen to at first. If you liked the stuff from Requiem for a Dream than I can point you in a direction.I'll go through my CD's and point out a few. Might have to email them to you if that's ok.

InSiDeR: YES! When I first heard them I was not thrilled with the Death Growl stuff. But as you said, "you get used to it". They are some of best musicians I've heard in a while. Have quite a few of their albums.

 Beasite Boys Anthology
 NIN
 Ministry
 The Cult - Electric
 Sisters of Mercy
Fields of The Nephilim - Dawnrazor or The Nephilim (or their gratest hits - Revelations).
 SoaD
Johnny Cash (esp. his American series although grab a greatest hits too)
Alien Sex Fiend - you just have to listen to some of it (pos. a greatest hits).
 Nile
NWA - Straight out of Compton or Niggaz4Life (I am impressed how well it has stood the passage of time).
Judgement Night soundtrack - pretty much did nu metal better than nu metal ever did before the term was ever invented (in fact it is rude to even associate the album with the words nu metal).

(not going to break these down by category or anything...)

I am shocked to see that there is no Bowie listed. So...

David Bowie - Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Heathen
Aimee Mann - Magnolia, Lost in Space
Ani Difranco - Little Plastic Castle, Dilated
Evan Dando - Baby I'm Bored
 Lemonheads - It's a Shame About Ray
 Pixies - Bossanova
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon, A Momentary Lapse in Reason (<- yes, it is still floyd, even without Roger Waters' ego
  )
 Thelonius Monk - Monk's Dream
(and I'll second the Miles Davis - Kind of Blue)

If you're looking for more Beatles, a couple of my personal favorites -

 With the Beatles
 A Hard Day's Night
 Let it Be

If you're looking for more Grateful Dead -
Europe '72 is almost a 'must have'
 Working man's Dead

 Smahsing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Jimi Hendrix - Axis: Bold as Love, the Radio One sessions, Smash Hits, Band of Gypsies
The Jesus Lizard - Goat, Liar, Shot

Too bad you never got a chance to see them live. That is where they were the best for sure. Probably why DL suggested the live album.
Still, the recordings never really captured the feel of it all. A Dead concert was just an experience.
I really feel sorry for anyone who never saw them live

bodhi: Thanks for the encouragement. But somehow I feel I should be standing up and saying, "My name is Suho, and I like 80s music." And then everyone says, "Hi Suho!" and we feel like one big, happy (albeit extremely dysfunctional) family.
...or everyone just mocks me. Either way works, I suppose.

cfb: Glad to see we have some common ground. I must admit, though, that the last DM album I bought was Songs of Faith and Devotion. I really haven't been following them too closely since then. Have they come out with anything good lately?

I do have well over a hundred CDs in my collection, which isn't bad since I stopped buying new stuff quite some time ago. 39 of those CDs are DM/Erasure (including singles/maxi-singles, etc.), just to put things into perspective.

My favorite albums? OK, I'll give it a shot... (these are in no special order)

 DM - Black Celebration
Erasure - The Innocents (or Chorus; it's so tough to pick just one...)
Pet Shop Boys - Discography (which is kind of cheating, since it's a "best of" compilation; Alternative is amazing, but that's also kind of cheating, since it's a two-disc B-side compilation--but if you're a PSB fan it's a must; if I had to pick a single album, though, I would have to say Please)
U2 - The Joshua Tree (Just had to throw that in there for variety. I was really into U2 as well.)

Looking through my collection now, I'm noticing that a lot of the CDs are either "best of" compilations or singles. I think this is because I used to own all of the albums on cassette, and when it came time to start buying CDs I didn't want to have to go and buy all the albums again (except for Erasure and DM).

Korean stuff: Seo Taiji's second album (many Korean groups simply number their albums), Yun Jong-shin's Gongjon ("Coexistence"), Lee Seung Hwan's The Different Side: Human, among others. I like Grasshopper when it comes to Canto-pop. I imagine that doesn't help you too much, though.

cprompt - the only problem with live stuff is that it's every where, and far too many people have no discrimination whatsoever on the live tapes they pass around.
So there's a ton of absolute crap out there (let's face it, there were endless countless shows over the span of many many years that were just plain terrible.

And I'm sorry, but 45 minutes of "space" and drums ain't my bag...
I actually prefer the studio versions in a lot of cases, but when you can find the really good live stuff (usually really early stuff) it's golden.

I'm not a deadhead or anything, but I have listened to them since I was 15 or so...

Europe '72 kind of set the tone for what a live dead show should sound like.

couldn't agree more on that. there *are* a ton of live tapes out there. the dead never really cared that people recorded their shows.
i also agree that 45 mintues of space is WAY too much. unless of course you are at the show and then you really could careless what they were doing.

i never really considered myself a deadhead either but i was able to catcha couple of shows.

Placebo - their 'without you I'm nothing' album is fantastic
Madrugada - a Norwegian band, so it might be hard to find elsewhere. but if you find it, it is worth checkingo out
 Muse
 Tori Amos
Tool - mentioned before, but worth mentioning again

Love these 'whats your favourite music'-threads. There are so many other people here with music taste similar to mine, so I usually manage to find a new (good) band each time the thread is repeated
