Yeah, but those are the "cumulative" security updates. They compile all the little fixes that have accumulated throughout that month into one big package. |

As far as I have read, there is only cummulative patches now. So, only once a month. |

Exactly...which is why microsoft always seems to be behind on patches to fix the latest exploitable security hole in Winblows. The attitude seems to be: "Yes, we know about that hole, and yes, we have a patch all ready to go for it...but we're not giving it to you for another 25 days" |

They changed their attitude recently. It started being so since Dec/2003. |

That's exactly what happened with the severe security hole in the support of the http://usernameassword@domain.com URL several weeks ago. It seems that MicroSoft found the parade to this hole. |

I realise that this may have seemed a lame post, but I have, along with many others, turned off "automatic update" and as this was designated "critical" update even if you use another browser. I thought I'd pass it along. |
