Preserved Topic: Microsoft Style Navigation (Page 1 of 1)

Hello everybody,
I was wondering how to achieve a Microsoft style navigation mneu on my web site. What I want to happen is somebody places their mouse over some text, and a drop down mneu appears with some options. If you go to Microsoft's web site, http://www.microsoft.com, and place your mouse over Events/Training, you can see what I'm talking about. I would also like to only have to update one file and have all the pages change. Is this possible? If so, where can I get the script?

I have tried http://www.dynamicdrive.com and couldn't find any scripts.

What you want is pretty simple. Check out www.bratta.com for the script, he has an advanced version of this.

In terms of the update once use everywhere what you want to use is SSI- check the DHTML section for the SSI post it's got a lot of great links

Thanks for the link to www.bratta.com. However, the SSI post doesn't have what I'm looking for, it just has CSS stuff. How do I get the effect of SSI without using it?

Hmm not sure where you got CSS from SSI but there is another post here: http://www.ozones.com/forum/Forum2/HTML/000026.html
that was really good on SSI (best answer to the prob) there is a JS way to fake SSI but it isn't half as effective.
