Preserved Topic: PHP help with fopen() (Page 1 of 1)

Hey there, I was working with PHP, and i couldnt get some things to work.

in my scripts (which is a news script) i have it open a file in W+ mode, so i can copy all of the contents to a variable, then write to it (which willw rite over) with th new sctuff, then the old stuff variable at the bottom of that, so the newest news is on top. understand?

well, it keeps giving me and error, saying permission to open the file is denied.

well, i tried it with and without the news.txt chmoded

can soemone help me??
