      I guess this is an appropriate place to say that I would never recommend learning JavaScript from an online tutorial - even webmonkey's.  They don't get in depth enough, and they'll often mislead you.  If you're serious about learning JavaScript, get a good book.  (I also learned HTML and CSS from books, but tutorials on those are usually OK.)  If you really can't afford a book, and you can't get it for like your birthday or something, *then* I guess it's ok to resort to tutorials... I suppose many people learn well from tutorials, but you really won't be getting *everything* out of them.  |

      Little Osh does have a point there. I can't really offer any other solution... it seems programming is one of those things that you have to keep working at until, eventually, one day, you just *get* it. Maybe.  |
