Not as late as I am, I didn't know untill you told me. I was going to ask somebody here how that was done, I saw it on a Compuserve page, but by the time I got around to it, they had stopped the snow. I know it's JavaScript, but how?

Yea, Yea, I know..... This belongs in the JavaScript forum, but the thread started here. So live with it.

<edit> it seems pugzly found that script from http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/snow.htm </edit>
...roughly what it does is go thru a loop, where i increases, and it makes a layer, called 'snowflake'+i, or whatever, and for each snowflake, it changes the x and y position. obviously, x just increases and decreases, and y keeps increasing until it hits the bottom of the page, then its moved to the top again....

The script, which is used at GurusNetwork web site is the same as that one which you can obtain from the above mentioned link...

On a similar note, were supposed to get a lot of snow on Long Island ...

Oh yea, I saw that script years ago at I think javagoodies.com. I even had that on an old layout, and in the fall instead of snow I had leaves. Anyway nice touch Pugzly. The sites looking really good, although my tutorial I did like months ago still isnt up

Is this effect done with javascript and layers etc... or Java?

Snow, Snow, Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Snow!!!!!! (Cabin Fever setting in.) If we get anymore snow I don't know what I will do with it all. I've got a 6ft high wall running down my driveway the way it is and it's only December 29. Got to love Minnesota.

I'am waiting for the city to come by and fine me for violating the fencing laws

Got an Idea, maybe I can sell it on Ebay.

That's a neat script - I've been using that one on my site's home page the last couple of years. What I'd like to find is a similar fireworks script just for New Year's.
