Hey, I can help you out with this, it's simpler than it looks. Instead of doing it with a script, you can use an online service that I'm liking recently, called "dns2go". Head over to http://www.dns2go.com/ and sign up for the service, you'll get a domain name like http://yourname.dns2go.com/ - Once your account is active, you can download a small application that lives on your home machine, and what it does is if your machine is online, it sends a message to their DNS server and now that name points to your IP at home. If it's *not* active, it points to someplace else, you choose. Make that someplace else your ISP website, and using the same path as at home, create your online/offline links. if you *are* online, it will use the image from your home, if not, it'll use the one on the server. This is a free service as long as you don't get any extras, like I typically do, heh. |

Oh my god, Winternet still exists? I thought they'd have gone out of business years ago. Glad to see they changed their logo, I was getting tired of owning the copyright to that thing, it was embarrassing! Hmm, I also used to do pre-press, working in St. Louis Park! The company moved to Chaska, though, and I no longer got to go there much. Just rambling, heh. |

Thanks for the tip, I will look into it. I was thinking of getting my own domain name soon anyway. |
