You know..... like my.yahoo.com or whatever. I am looking for a way to make a personalized web page depending on the person who logs in. Basically, I would like the ability to have a seperate web page for each account that logs into the website. Something that is personalized for them, and them only. Are there any scripts out there that do this? If possible, I would like this script to tie in with the UBB user database, so that when a user logs in to their homepage, they are automatically logged in to UBB.

thanks in advance!

AFAIK, there doesn't exist any serious portal-like system that doesn't use SQL database backend, so integration with UBB is simply impossible (because it uses flat text files).

Anyway, my suggestion goes to MetaDot (BTW It requires MySQL database).

As far as UBB is concerned InfoPop probably won't start using SQL database backend in near future, because even their latest version (UBB6) still uses flat text files...

www.horde.org has a php portal called jonah, though I'm not sure its exactly what you want. And as for the UBB thing, there are alot of far better forums than UBB, most of which use SQL for a backend. Why UBB is so popular when there are better, free alternatives I'll never understand.

Not all people get SQL database from their web host without extra payment, so that could be one reason why there are still people who use UBB...

On the issue of Bulletin Board try this: http://www.ub2k.com/
On the issue of a Free almost anything from a Host check this location: http://www.communitech.net/hosting/virtual/features/ I have been looking at hundreds of Hosting offers but this seems to be the most comprehensive list at 3 times the $US22.95pm price for UNIX virt server. Thsi is a personal; opinion which in now way represents that of Doc nor OzoneAsylum
