Preserved Topic: Lookin 4 a good HTML-teaching book...

i am looking for a FREE book about HTML...
so far all my searches were useless, so i'm asking you guys for help:
Does anyone know where i can find a HTML-teaching for novices (preferably free to download...) ???

threep decides not to comment on the fact that the HTML code behind every page is also a free teaching resource, and feels a more appropriate comment is:
"hey, here's a better idea arlechinu, why dont you jsut get a WYSIWYG editor. then you wont have to worry about HTML."

Slime whacks 3rdperson upside the head for suggesting WYSIWYG editors as an option.

Arlechinu, chances are you won't find a good book about html that's free. If you're willing to pay money, I'd recommend O'Reilly's books ( www.oreilly.com ).

the reason i asked 4 your help wasn't to get a free economics lesson...
got it?
and since WYSIWYG is a slow "HTML editor"... i kinda thought that a real step-by-step book would be more suitable.
last but not least, where i'm from, a HTML book costs about a quarter of my father's salary (and his salary isn't small, you know what i mean?)
therefore, downloading a HTML book seemed the most cost-effective solution.

Yeah, hmm, I don't think you can find a real big comprehensive book available free for download, but you can probably find some tutorials. Try a search at www.google.com for "HTML tutorial" or something.

Yup, Romania is an economically rough neighborhood, money ain't everything though right arlechinu?!?! Especially when there's free stuff around: http://www.geocities.com/annabella.geo//html.html is reall good reference and little lessons for beginners.

the fact is that did find lots of tutorials, but all require a little experience in HTML
and experience i have not...
however, i did start teaching myself...
