can anyone tell me if this is possible, i have a three celled table that i only wanna change the content of one cell with a link is this possible without java script and without frames...if this is cosidered off topic for this area sorry i couldnt find an plain old HTML section...

Anything you do will require script at a minimum.

Yes, the only way you could aviod JavaScript for something like that is *with* frames. But you said no frames so the answer is certainly some script will be required. As a general rule any content changes on a single page after the page loads require scripting.

What a boring web it would be without JavaScript... yikes what a chilling thought!

since you brought up the subject:
javascript - where can i download the a java-only porgram or something like that?
i browsed around the java site, but... the site is pretty messy...
so?

and, Punchdrunk,
i dunno if this is such a good idea, but i have the same problem
i finally solved it with lots of layers and show/hide layer
that's eventually lots of work, but i really don't know what else to do.
probably i'll do the whole site in Flash if i get really mad...
check the link below to see how that ( ok, lame excuse 4 a solution ) looks&works

PS: if i made myself look really stupid by saying how i use layers to do it, sorry!
