If you're talking about <SCRIPT> tag, that's how it is colored (and actually that is dark red)...

forgive me, but what do those tags do ? are they simply Java Script Tags ? if so I simply use.

you use them to link to an external jscript file ... jscript.js

that way you dont have to clutter your html with the script and you can use it over and over instead of typeing the same thing on different html files.
