What is the max table width I can do for 800x600 rez?

Actually, I've found you can do 780 without causing horizontal scrollers.

I usually don't push it beyond 730.

I prefer 750, heh...

This is funny because I usually go with 740px.

I've found that with the default browser/desktop theme settings, going to 781 will cause a scroller. 780 is fine. But that's if you want to max it out.

If you want to format so that it prints without getting chopped off on the right side by the printer, 640 is good (taking into account default margin settings, blah blah blah).

Scrollbars are typically 16 pixels wide, and I assume the edge of the browser window itself is usually two pixels wide, so I assume 780 will only work without body margins, and then it would be right at the edge of the web page. Plus, anyone who has their scroll bars set to more than 16 pixels wide will get the HSOD.
