Oh, and here's a tip, learned the hard way, unfortunately. The "blend" transition only works at the correct speed on IE6, I had things set to blend in at 1 second, but on my test versions of IE5 and IE5.5, that same transition took nearly 4 times that! Kind of disturbing. Right now I'm using a bland transition of .3 seconds, which takes about a second on older IE versions. Also of note: it won't actually blend into that new page until it's entirely loaded, so if it's a big page, you might not want this to happen (or have some toy happening on the page they'll be leaving! I've set my page to only blend upon *leaving*, so folks will know I'm still up if they follow a link in, heh. |

One thing I've noticed with those fades is that they wont work inside a frame, this must be true: |

I've been watching my stats on the OZONEs.com site, seeing what impact it's had. At a delay of 1.0 second, my traffic dropped considerably, (from 5000/day to maybe 4500 average), and now it's at .3 sec and I'm averaging 5500/day on weekdays. I think I'm going to go and comment that out for a few weeks and see what effect this has on my traffic. |
