Yeah ... by why would you want to do that? I see so many people doing that and frankly it just sucks. I am not talking about full screening by it's self, but the whole concept of redirecting to a full screen pop-up is stupid, then you cancel the pop-up out to see useless page saying something like "Thanks for visiting" or "Come back soon" with the company logo on it.

i just hate pop-ups, especially useless ones.

stelman48: Welcome - forgive Dark his rudeness (if he didn't look good in a dress he'd be locked in the basement). Unless you've got a really good reason I wouldn't advise it - but it is doable. I can direct you to some resources if you want.

I've been considering adding a control to MAXIMIZE the ozone window to full screen with navigation hidden, though I was also planning to include a control to bring it back to where it was, hah! I may not, though, I'm pretty sure that people will follow it to a page with a frame killer on it, and then the return value will be gone, people will have to alt+F4 to get out of it, and then they would hate me.

As long as I have fair warning that a popup is imminent, I can handle it. What makes me angry and hateful of designers are the ones who implement *unsolicited* popups.

Well his I can deal with, because I have so much design respect for the man. Besides it's only one pop-up right? And that scrolling feature with the JS is phat as all get out.

I still have to say that anyone that when someone determines my browser window size for me, I get angry.

I do like the horizontal scrolling window though I am going to use a horizontal scrolling script like that sometime.

DG & Cal can do no wrong. It's just the way of things

I am working on a site for a friend that will have a similar scrolling effect but I'll be keeping it all on the main page. In order to control the size of the interface, which is why I believe pixelflo has the popup, I'll be centering the fexed size elements on the page based on the window size.

HEY!

Let's just remember that the popup is Cal's idea....of course it's all because I wanted to slack with a fixed window size for all the graphic work....but come on, let's blame Cal anyway.

~cough~

And Bugs...you the man..and you damned well know it.

DG:

Sorry man! I wasn't necessarily saying that your site made me angry. I like pixelflo and the pop up does serve a purpose. It is just that sometimes I like to hit the "restore" button when I am doing stuff and you can't when that is disabled. Know what I mean??
