Preserved Topic: Free transforming selections (Page 1 of 1)

Hey peeps
I was messing around on PS the other night and tried to create a shape similar to Docs "Texture wrap" round cross. when i transformed my oval selection 90 degrees, PS cropped the selections edges and i had an oval with straight tips. i repeated it a few times and it happened each and every one. for some reason it only happens if i transform the selection 90 degrees or 270. any idea whats wrong and how can i prevent it? i use v5.5<P>Rend

The only thing that comes to mind is maybe your canvas was taller than it was wide and there's not enough room? I've used the rotate over and over and never had any problems. (probably not very helpful, but I feel chatty today so I'm replying to just about everything...lol)<P>------------------

Lol i wish it was so simple... my canvas was 256X256. besides, PS dont crop selections that go over the edge of the canvas. i found a way to play around it by transforming the channel to which i saved the selection, but it makes things cumbersome, and sometimes i want to use the transform selection anyway. thnx for the reaply, though )<P>Never Pet a Burning Dog

hehe thnx. the lil dog thing has been my motto ever since i came online. I actually stole it from "Blizzard" - it appeared in "Warcraft2" as one of the tips for the game, among others like "Dont pee (or spit?) into the wind", "Change underwear every day" and "Tell all your friends to buy this game"
