Hey Doc!
I like this forum better, and hope that you can create a tutorial for the creation of your text on your gullwing interface. I've come fairly close but there's some steps that I'm obviously missing because I haven't thought of it, or improper implementation etc. Your text is the best on the net IMHO and you should share some of the wealth eh?
Thanks Man |

Which text do you mean, the dreamy blue text at the bottom? It's a simple fake 3d effect, with an image from the hubble telescope wrapped over it. I'll have to look over it and see what I can do about explaining it. |

I think he meant the Logo text on top, with two colors and some flares in it. |

Whoa-ho! That's cool! Took me a minute to think, did I do a tute on that? No! I remember when I was first starting out, I was too stubborn to ask how other folks did stuff, so I'd spend hours and hours every night trying to "reverse engineer" certain effects. The a number one coolest thing was that I could duplicate effects, and my methods were *completely* different!Photoshop is fun that way, there is always at least 3 different ways to do anything, and some of the coolest effects started out as mistakes halfway along, heh. Nice work, DL-44!!!
Your pal, -doc- |

Well thanks Doc, means a lot coming from you. It's classic Doc Ozone really...grey background, orange base color, sky blue, lighting effects and lens flares!! The basic idea was easy enough, although I did spend *quite* a bit of time tweaking things afterward. Everything you need to know to make this can be found in the Hands On tutorials, so it's really a tribute to your unique approach to both you art and your teaching. Thanks Doc : )
------------------ |

Yah sure, not a problem. There are no secrets here, only techniques. Better than 50/50 your method and mine are not the same, but the results look that way. Cool, huh?
Your pal, -doc- |

I hope BOTH the good Doctor AND DL-44 post a tutorial on the gullwing text, etc. It would be cool to see the different approaches used by each to obtain the same result!
What say you?
|
