Can any one tell me if their is a plug in or something that will let me define a circular(or wavy or anything other than a straight line) patern to my text. Or do I have to beg my boss to buy me Corel?

While Fig is correct, I'd beg for Illustrator, there is a way to do it in Photoshop. It takes some time, it doesn't use plug-ins, and it can be frustrating. I'll outline it for you with a circle, but the same idea works on a wavy line.
One
Make a new document with a transparent background or make a new layer and place your letters in the middle. (I've found that the 'marching ants' text works better than the straight text tool.) Fill the text with the color of your choice, and deselect.
Two
Make a new layer. With the circle marquee tool make a circle that is about the size 'around' you want your text. Don't deselect the circle. Goto Edit stroke and stroke it 1-2 pixels. Now deselect the circle
Three
Go back to your text layer and with the square marquee tool select your middle letter, just the middle letter, use the move tool to move that single letter STRAIGHT up to the edge of your stroked circle. (Using your arrow buttons on the keyboard is better than the mouse.) Don't deselect yet. Next transform the letter (Ctrl+T) until the bottom of the letter is even with the edge of the circle. When the letter is even with the circle, deselect.
Four
Repeat step three for each remaining letter. It takes a bit of time and some major patience.
Five
Remove the cirlce layer.
Sit back and admire.
If you have further questions feel free to ask. And if you need pictures http://www.screamdesign.com/ has the exact same effect with pictures.
-I'm not a complete idiot,
there are some parts missing.
[This message has been edited by F1_error (edited 22-04-2000).]

Hi,
I have used HotText by Vertigo to put text on a path and while it is a tad hard to get used to the lighting controls, once you do, it does quite well.
Find it here; http://www.vertigo3D.com/
sq

Do a cost analysis: The hours spent doing it manually, or the cost of Illustrator.
