Hey I've been doing graphics with photoshop about a 1½ month and I'm really excited about it! I love doing graphics 'cause it gives me sooooo good feelings. I have never been any exellent drawer but I have always wanted to do cool pictures. So this is my question: Can I be still a good designer and drawer althought I haven't been in any class or anything? Is there any artist like me out there?

I would say that you could succeed as a designer without college education. It will probably be more difficult though to learn all the things that you would have learned in college by studying and practicing on your own. I never went to a 4 year college or an art school. I did take advanced art classes in high school 3 hours a day for four years of high school. I also drew in all my other classes instead of listening to the teacher. There is an abundance of free information on the Internet to learn from. I suggest you search high and low for every little scrap of knowledge the Internet offers on the subject that interests you. Remember that all the major search engines just barely scratch the surface of what is actually available on the net. Make sure to make use of spidering search engines. A lot of the directory web sites like Yahoo are limited to only web sites people have submitted to them. If you passionately persist in persuing a career in graphics design there will be breaks along the way to help you succeed. Good luck with your quest for knowledge!

I've just checked out your site, for 1 and a half months you definately have the talent
The non formal route is definately the harder one, but like Boudga says you've got to be prepared to put in the time and search for it. And then apply it to your work.
Good Luck

First off dont let other people tell you what art is and if you can make it. For one art is what you make it, not what someone tells you. And I too just visited your web site, very nice!

FWIW... On your graphics section you may want to consider giving the viewer a back button. I thought I'd launched a new window to view the images when I accidentally closed the window (doh, had to go open it again to view the rest of the images).

Nice flash implementation there nt. Hard to tell at this point what type of "artistic" talent you have but you seem to have a decent handle on flash anyway!
FWIW...a few suggestions. Your text needs to be bigger in your content as well as your navigational table, and it may be to your advantage to brighten up the blue a bit for your links as it blends in with the black bkg a bit much...
And finally, you might consider "killing" any dead links for now. I clicked on the "projects" link only to have to wait for a while for the javascript to do it's thing only to find out that there's really nothing there yet...just a tad bit aggravating imho.
Keep going though nt...I see some potential there you betcha! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your progress.

FWIW...NT, I know it was mentioned on the forum a long time back and you probably never saw the post but someone here said that they carry a sketchbook with them everywhere and take every opportunity to sketch their surroundings. After that post I started doing that and I've really noticed a drastic improvement in my perception of my surroundings...food for thought, man!
