Iffn you'll point ye olde browser to ossuary.net/~pope/devel/ and take a look at a quick render of a mask I'm working on..

My site menu will be in the black part of that oval thing on the left. Only problem is that once text gets added the appearance totally sucks ass. Since it sorta looks like a wacky tv, I tried doing circled buttons with numbers with the inset effect, but that still kinda blew. Any thoughts or ideas on how to salvage this?

Do you have a pic with the text in place? I'd like to see what you did to make the text suck. I've a few ideas, but I'd rather see your version before I stick my foot completley in my mouth.

No version currently exists with text, they were all horribly bad. The problem was that you have this funky shaped plasticky thing, and the stuff I was trying out for links was all bland and out of place.

Hey why not doing kind of plastical buttons to your interface?

I tried plastic buttons, but didn't like them. I've been poking around other tutorials & the like for some ideas and a few are in my head now. Prolly going to end up doing some more mods on that mask and making a few others to sit on top.

Put some rollover images in them....that'd look cool...

How about some cool dangling wires???
