I've been trying to match the photoshop colors with the ones in html so the graphics blend into the background, but its not working.
How do i put the HTML codes (ex="#c0c0c0") into the color palet picker so the match the colors in netscape/Inernet explorer?

Well, I don't know whether or not there is a way in Photoshop, but r@m just posted a link to a freeware program that will give you both the hex code and the RGB values of a color so you can match both ways. It's here: http://www.inetis.com/english/solutions_dotcolor.htm

Photoshop 5.0+ has the option to use hex code as opposed to RGB numbers.

And in PS 5.0+ there is also a way to let you switch to only use web-safe colours. Mucho Coolness.

There are a variety of shareware calculators that function in hex. Input the hex values, convert to decimal notation. Clumsy. Better is to find one of the web color swatches available form various places - maybe try http://www.lynda.com. open the swatch in your program of choice and use the eyedropper to set foreground/background.

If you are using Photoshop 5.5, check out this tip http://www.lynda.com/tips/qt_photoshop/video2.html
Also, there are web-safe palettes shipped with Photoshop which you can load to either add to or replace the default swatches. Use the little triangle at the top right of the swatches palette, locate the web color palette on your hard drive.

If you are using a PC, the Calculator included with Windows can Convert Hex to Decimal and Vice Versa. It is located in the Accessories Folder, or you can simply Run Calc.exe.

Once the program is open, Click on View and Select Scientific. Hex, Dec, Oct, Bin Radio Buttons will pop up. When you choose a different button, the calculator does the conversion.
