Just need opinions on my splash screen at http://www.eviltoylet.com

I'm stuck on where to go from now, no ideas on what to put in and just sort of shoving in random things from tutorials etc. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">
Hehe, the only thing that makes it cool are those rotating balls from Doc.

Yah yah, those *do* make it cool! <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif"> I like the subtle nature of the design, and the guts to push it off center, that does make the disgn more elegant, I like negative space.

Two elements need tweaking to give it impact.

The name eviltoylet, I wouldn't mind seeing some more edge definition to the type. Try throwing a layer of black under the words, and blur it by .5 pixels, it'd make it snap. Maybe this would be too much on the outside, try placing a layer og white over it, same shape as the type. Now select it, inverse the selection and fill with black. Inverse it again, and blur by one to let the black bleed in. Inverse again and delete the black. Now set this layer to multiply. I do this one a lot.

The speaker grill could maybe use the same treatment, but I'm looking mainly at the grid with the rust on it. Seems that grid should not be as blue as it is, it needs more contrast, and less saturation.

Is this page to be just a splash? You could place some small rusty links in the upper middle left and still stay balanced. Maybe not individual links, but a rusty hole in the perfect blue, with a couple of major links inside? Just an idea.

Overal, I like the page, nice composition IMHO, and good execution. Now is the time for the details.

Yeah the little circling balls are cool but you know what would be nifty? If you made a cool looking gear sorta like in your logo and used that instead of the balls.... or not, whichever.
