hello there.. sorry for posting in the main forum, but i kind of would like quick response and wasn't sure where a question this stupid would go..

first off, i just redid the coding for the dj page i was working on, please look at it at... http://www.zerominuszero.net/jinjer/

tell me any glitches/problems/design input, okay?

but my question is, see those stupid black lines under the buttons? how the heck do i get rid of those? i have no idea where they came from.. tried to figure it out but my brain hurts too much.

PLEASE HELP =P

okay i'm a frickin' mongoloid...

i deleted my css tag for no underlines, hence the black crap under my buttons...

while you're at it though, if you folks would still be kind enough to test the design and see if you can find anything?

Sorry bud. All I see is some shading around the blue buttons, and two very faint gray horizontal lines further down the page. I tried to check your source code to find a clue, but it didn't tell me anything.

BTW... The only "glichey" thing I noticed was that the Other Links button shows up on the blue sidebar if the window isn't in full screen view. I had to manually make it full screen.

rancid: your first post.. did you mean you couldn't find those black lines i had mentioned initially? because i fixed those already... then in the second post you said the 'links' button shows up on the blue sidebar? this shouldn't be happening, it pops up a window a specific size... hrm... is it still happening?

Personally your layout worked awesome for me, and I like it a lot. I dont know if you corrected RANCID's second post already but its working fine for me.

Just one thing I noticed (and maybe this is a recent thing because you are working on it) but when I went to the site the image map for the 'About' icon was out of place and too small.. only seemed to catch the right lower edge of the star.

jestah: thanks a lot for scopin' out the site, glad it worked alright for someone. actually everyone that has written me back so far has had good luck with it, just a few random cases on the ozone board of it NOT working.. weird.

seven: i have no clue... i haven't heard that one yet, what browser were you using?

Mikey: Hmm.. I was using IE 5 at home, but here at work it seems to work dandy-like. Maybe my terrible connection at home contributed to the error (didn't load the image map all the way? very possible!).

Hard coming home to a 24,000 connection when yer at work on a 100 meg network :P

Sorry, been workin on my amateur site. Just got your question. I tried the site again. Upon initial load, the icons for Links and Dreambook both appear on the blue sidebar. The window that pops up after clicking "Hello" only opens on 80 percent of my screen. When I expand the window, everything is fine.

I use Windows 95 on a Celeron 400 PC. My Roadrunner cable modem uses a version of IE5, which is special-made by Microsoft and Roadrunner, for RoadRunner users.

The problem may just be with my IE, but I don't have similar problems elsewhere yet. I wouldn't rework based on my situation alone, but I thought you should know this might be a problem for others too.

I really like your stuff. Good luck.

What do you mean it is specially made for road runner? Do you mean it has a little road runner icon in the top right corner instead of the world? There isn't any difference in the browser besides that little icon.

seven: i have been unable to recreate the problem you're experiencing, and no one else has mentioned it.. i'm rather perplexed, but i'll keep the fingers crossed and hope it's just your computer =P

timothy: thanks a lot for the support...

i'll be telling everyone when the site is finished, now it's time to focus on the completion of integration of content into the site, hehe.

I appreciate Minutrice's effort to help us all be more well informed, but this particular effort is very likely in error.

In Hawaii, RoadRunner's customer account management pages clearly warn that no version of IE should be installed from Microsoft's sites. It is also explicitly detailed that we should not use IE 5.01. In Hawaii, RoadRunner provides a link to download a customized version of IE 5.0 which it claims was tailor made by Microsoft and RoadRunner. In Hawaii, we are told, if we already installed IE 5.01, not to try to load the custom version of IE 5.0 because problems would follow.

If Minutrice has any documentation to dispute my readings and consequent conversations with RoadRunner, I would sincerely like to see it. I never trusted the carrier (Oceanic Cable) nor the parent company (TimeWarner). Thanks.

Still friends? I hope so. Some of my best friends live in Arizona.

P.S. I regret any confusion caused by my efforts to provide feedback to MikeyMiller. I felt obliged to report a possible problem since I ask for the same consideration here.
