OK; Freya, geez, all of your psots generate lots of comment, and I can't figure which question is bothering you most (from the GurusNetwork thread, ibid.) Here is the place, I'm going to email you, and you post it here, simple as you can. Something about slicing up our images for interfaces, sounded like?

Doc Oz
Yes, I seem to be all over the place with a lot of questions cause i know very little therefore all kinds of questions are asqued!!! <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">
Now more to the point, i wanted to draw mountains but I have been told that it's known how to do it in Bryce 3D but there's lack of knowledge how to do it from photoshop, Unless you can find a picture of a mountain(s) and then you cut and paste. The question is: I don't know how to cut and paste!!!

Another question Doc?
I'm learning HTML and on my first page I'd like to put some out of the ordinary (but legible) fonts on my page and was told that unless the viewer at the other end has that font in his computer he won't be able to see it, however if I'd like to make a headline with lets say Old English, I'd better make the headline like a GIF graphic and treat my headline like i would put a pic on my page. The question is how do I MAKE the GIF graphic!!! Possibly with the Type (letters) option in photoshop? Duno!
Anyway, I guess that's all Doc (for now <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif"> <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif"> <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">
Thanks!!!

Freya, pal -

I spent about 20 minutes yesterday banging out an essay on your two questions, posted it to the "newbie.... heeellllpppp" topic which doesn't even appear to be on the board today! What's up with that? No way I can re-construct that whole thing. Any idea why an entire topic would just vanish from the board? From this post it appears you didn't get a chance to read it. Nuts.

Whew - this was a case of getting mixed up with all the topics on this board. The post I refer to above was in the Ozone topic, not here in Photoshop. And it's still there! Man, so many places to be looking! Go read it and if you still have *specific* questions post them back in here in the Photoshop topic - I don't have time to keep monitoring all the new posts in all the topics, okay?

Good luck. Show us what the outcome is.

It sounds to me like you need to go to a place and read all the tutorials on the tools in photoshop and how to use them. Cutting and pasting is a very easy task. Do you have the photoshop manual? What version of photoshop do you have? You can go to http://www.screamdesign.com and they have a tools section(not for sure if it has cutting and pasting though) And I'm sure there are more places with tutorials telling how to use the different tools. Really the best way for you to learn is to go through every tutorial you can find step by step. Lots of times the images you make won't look like their's but you just have to keep doing it again until you figure out what you did wrong. When I was first learning some things it took me several tries to figure out simple things now.

I agree with Minute Rice, I would read a lot of tutorials on how to use the Photoshop tools, check the photoshop manual, goto www.screamdesigns.com and also www.designsbymark.com has some decent tutorials for getting used to Photoshops tools, check out his 20 Quick Tips.
