Also....does anyone know a tutorial for a chrome effect? I used to have an action for this. It looked like brushed steel. The part I liked was the oiled surace look...I dont know if I am being clear or not. I hope someone can help.

The oily look...I think you're talking about irridescence, the little swirls of colors, correct? That's pretty tough to make by hand, I've seen some good filters for irridescence though. For chrome, I personally do it by hand with an airbrush, because I used different shadings depending on the shape of the object/text I'm "chroming." http://shea.telefragged.com/tut02-shading.html is a good tutorial that deals with airbrushing for a metal effect. Hope that tut helps.

Can't say the subject matter interests me much, but the effects are done very well. They are reminiscent of a tutorial or two I have seen (I didn't check mbridge's link so I can't comment on it) but still done well. Nice rough stone, nice shiny translucent plastic <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">. I'd shoot for some more original ideas though <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">

I like the highlights on the 'blood'. Very stylized.

Have you considered darkening the backplate under the logo? It looks way too light to me, considering the light would, irl, be traveling through a colored liquid.
